DURRANT, MCGEENEY AND WILLIAMS AMONGST PROVISIONAL QUALIFIERS FOR GRAND SLAM

The PDC and BDO players will face each other at the Grand Slam of Darts in November. As usual, eight players from the British Darts Organisation will be invited to play in Wolverhampton.

It’s likely that the top eight of the BDO ranking receives an invite to compete at the Grand Slam of Darts. This because Glen Durrant claimed the title at Lakeside and the BDO World Trophy. Last year the three BDO major winners and the top five non-qualified players from the BDO Invitational Rankings played at this tournament.

The fate of the number eight depends from the Winmau World Masters. When this event is won by a top seven player, the BDO number eight receives an invite for the Grand Slam of Darts as well.

Currently Scott Waites sits on the eighth place with 254 points. The gap with number nine Dave Parletti is only seven points. However Waites can climb on the ranking as well, as the difference with number four Scott Mitchell is 23 points.

Durrant, Mark McGeeney and Jim Williams have enough points already to book a travel to Wolverhampton to compete at the Grand Slam of Darts.
