Shaun McDonald and Jamie Clark picked up wins as the first weekend of UK PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour action in 2021 came to a close in Milton Keynes.

36-year-old McDonald started his run to the Event Five title with a narrow 5-4 victory over Rhys Griffin

He followed this with a 5-2 win over Luke Ely, before whitewashing Ireland’s Neilie Brouder in the Last 64.

A 5-2 win over Cameron Menzies came next, followed by a 5-4 win over Graham Usher and a 5-1 victory against Kevin Garcia to reach the Semi-Finals.

Another excellent display followed, as he whitewashed Kevin Burness to reach the final,

There, he recovered from 4-2 down to beat Nathan Girvan in a last-leg decider to clinch the title.

Clarke was mightily impressive as he charged to the title on the final day of action.

The 24-year-old kicked things off with a 5-1 win over Wales’ Justin Smith in his opening match.

Clark then saw off Mike Warburton 5-3 in a tense affair, before averaging 102.21 - his highest average of the day - as he saw off Event Two winner Williams.

He then saw off Lewis Pride 5-2 to reach the final, where he edged out Ryan Palmer 5-3 to secure the victory.
