Best Darts for Beginners

Most beginners find that a dart between 22g and 26g is a good starting point. There is no right or wrong answer here, it really does come down to personal preference.

We recommend starting with a brass or nickel silver dart. These are more affordable and a great way to get started without spending too much. Once you have found your throwing style, you can always upgrade to a tungsten dart later on. On the other hand, some beginners opt to go for a more premium tungsten dart as it may reduce their costs in the long run.

Short stems suit a front-weighted dart and a faster throw, while longer stems work better for those with a slower, more relaxed action. As a beginner, medium length shafts are a safe choice while you are still practicing.

Standard flights are often the preferred option when you are just starting out. They offer more surface area, which helps to stabilise the dart in the air and gives you a more consistent throw while you are still developing your technique. However, some players opt for using Solo or Clic as they are considered to be more durable and therefore a cheaper option in the long run.
