What type of dartboard is best for home use?

A traditional bristle board is the ultimate choice for a truly authentic darts experience. Choose from our Quadro, Fortis or Competition dartboards, or opt for our Pro’s Choice Dartboard and Cabinet Set to get everything you need to set up and play immediately!

How do I protect my walls and floors from stray darts?

Bounce outs are inevitable, even for experienced players, so to protect the wall behind your dartboard we recommend our Harrows Dartboard Surround. Not only will it shield your wall from dart damage, but it will also protect your darts from breakage. To preserve your floors whilst playing, try our heavy duty dart mats, which also feature a clearly marked oche, to ensure you play from the correct distance.

What is the correct setup height and distance for a dartboard?

To replicate a professional tournament dartboard setup you’ll need to ensure the bullseye hangs 5 feet 8 inches (1.73m) from the floor. The oche (throwing line) should be marked at 7 feet 9.25 inches (2.37m) from the board. The easiest way to ensure the correct throwing distance is to use one of our durable darts mats. These compact, non-slip mats protect your floor from stray darts and have a built-in oche.

Do you need a dartboard light?

Standard room lighting can cast shadows on your board, which can make it tricky to see the board beds, particularly if you’re going for a tight grouping. To improve your focus and make the target more visible, we recommend Trilight, our ultra bright LED dartboard lighting system. It’s simple to attach, fits any board and can be easily packed away into a travel bag to carry between matches.
